Today lists the day’s doses in groups — Overdue, Now, Later, Any time today, then Done · n — and the header states the leading fact: an overdue dose, the next dose, any-time doses left, or All settled. The word under a time (DUE, LATE, MISSED, SNOOZED, RESCHEDULED, SKIPPED) is Keel’s label against your own schedule.

Today screen with an Overdue readout naming a 7:30 AM dose, an Overdue group with a row marked LATE, a Now group with a row marked DUE, an accent needle, and a Later group with a 5:00 PM row.
Fictional day at 8:45 AM: one dose overdue and marked LATE, one inside its hour marked DUE, one later; the header leads with the overdue fact.

Groups

Every dose lands in exactly one group: settled (logged or skipped) → Done · n; any-time and still open → Any time today; timed and LATE or MISSED → Overdue; timed and DUE → Now; the rest → Later. The accent needle marks the current moment before Later. Done · n stays collapsed while doses remain and opens on tap — except while a settled row shows Needs review.

Status words

A timed dose is DUE for the hour after its time, LATE until 24 hours have passed, then MISSED. A pending any-time dose is DUE through its day — never Late while pending — then Missed. A snoozed or moved dose keeps SNOOZED / RESCHEDULED until its new time passes. Once logged, a timed dose is judged from Taken at against its planned or Move time (snooze ignored); an any-time dose is Done if taken on its day or earlier, else Late. Done carries no word.

Counts

"n of m taken today" counts logged doses (skips excluded) over every dose scheduled today; "n of m taken in the last 7 days" is a trailing window.

One fictional morning at 8:45 AM

Fictional exampleThe names and values below are made up to show how the parts relate; they are not a suggestion.

A 7:30 AM dose reads LATE under Overdue (75 minutes past its time); an 8:00 AM dose reads DUE under Now; a 5:00 PM dose waits under Later; an any-time dose would sit under Any time today. Tap the 7:30 dose’s mark: it moves to Done · 1 and keeps LATE — logged, but more than an hour after its time.

The Done · 1 group expanded to show a struck-through 7:30 AM row with a filled check mark and the word LATE beneath its time.
Fictional record: the logged dose moves under Done and keeps LATE — it was recorded more than an hour after its time.
  1. Done · 1
  2. strikethrough + filled mark
  3. LATE under the time

If it looks different

"Nothing for today"?
A rest day; the line names the next dose’s day.
"Set up your first routine"?
No routine exists yet.
Yesterday above a time?
Yesterday’s timed dose, still open inside its 24 hours.
LATE inside Done · n?
A timed dose whose Taken at is an hour or more after its planned or Move time; an any-time dose shows it only when logged on a later calendar day.
The header’s "taken today" fraction and the calendar ring disagree?
The header counts every dose scheduled today; the calendar ring counts only doses due so far.
Needs review?
Synced history to resolve before the row can change.

DUE, LATE and MISSED are tracking labels against the schedule you entered; nothing here says when or whether to take anything.
