Keel Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Keel, an iOS app made by an independent developer. By using Keel you agree to them. They are written to be read.
What Keel is — and is not
Keel is a routine tracker. It helps you record and organize routines, programs, dose logs, and inventory for things like TRT protocols, peptides, medications, and supplements.
Keel is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. It does not recommend doses, suggest treatments, or offer guidance of any kind about what, when, or how much to take. It records what you tell it — nothing more. Nothing in the app is a substitute for the judgment of a licensed healthcare professional. For any medical decision, including starting, stopping, or changing any medication or protocol, consult your clinician. If you rely on Keel for medical decisions, you are using it for something it was never built to do.
Keel is for adults 18 and over.
Your license to use Keel
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Keel on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple's standard App Store terms. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app except where the law expressly permits it.
Your data
Your entries are yours. Keel works fully offline with no account; an optional account adds sync. How data is handled is covered in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. You can export your log history as a CSV and delete your account and all server data from inside the app at any time.
Subscriptions
- Keel Pro costs $4.99 per month or $47.99 per year; the annual plan includes a one-month free trial.
- Billing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Keel never sees your payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If you do not cancel before the free trial ends, the paid subscription begins.
- Manage or cancel in your App Store subscription settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device).
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies, since Apple is the merchant of record. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — cancel through the App Store.
Acceptable use
Use Keel lawfully and for its intended purpose: tracking your own routines. Do not attempt to breach, probe, or disrupt the service, access other users' data, or use the app to violate any law. We may suspend or terminate access that does.
Availability and changes
Keel's core features work offline and do not depend on our servers. Sync depends on hosted infrastructure and, like any online service, may occasionally be unavailable. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we ever discontinue sync, your local data remains on your device and exportable.
Disclaimer and limits on liability
Keel is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We make no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including any harm arising from health-related decisions you make. Keel records information; it does not advise, and you remain responsible for your own medical care.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to Keel is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; where the law grants you rights that cannot be waived, those rights are unaffected.
Termination
You can stop using Keel at any time and delete your account in Settings, which immediately removes your server data. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (your data rights, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the developer’s state of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the place where you live.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we will update the effective date and note the change in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
