Create or edit a routine

Add what you take and when, so Today, the calendar and reminders come from it — and change it later without touching what you’ve already logged.

Before you begin

A name and a time are all that’s required. The form is New Routine when creating and Edit Routine when editing, with Cancel and Save. On create, the sections after Reminders sit behind More options; on edit the form opens fully.

New routines start timed, at 9:00 AM. The Dose field is free text kept "without interpretation — Keel never suggests amounts."

Keel tracks. It never advises. The form records what you take and when, as you enter it; Quick start sets only a shape, and the dose is kept without interpretation.

Steps

1. Tap +, then New routine.
2. Optional: tap a Quick start chip (Daily supplement, Daily peptide, Weekly injection, 2× week injection, Daily medication). It sets category, administration and cadence only — never a dose or substance.
3. Under What you take, type the Name.
4. Pick a Category: Peptide, TRT / Hormone, Medication / Ancillary, Supplement, Other, or Custom.
5. Pick an Administration: Injectable, Oral, Topical, Nasal, Liquid, or Custom.
6. Under How often, set Repeats: Daily, Every other day, Every 3 days, Weekly on days, Times per week, or Every N days. Weekly shows a weekday picker; the last two show a stepper.
7. Under At what time, keep Time 1 (9:00 AM) or change it, add more with Add another time, or turn on Any time of day. Timed doses read "Every dose is scheduled at an exact time."
8. Under Duration, set Starts; turn on Ends on a date if the routine has an end.
9. Optional: enter the Dose as you record it — an amount and a unit.
10. Under Reminders, keep Remind me on; for timed doses choose Notify (see the reminders guide).
11. Tap More options for If I log late (Stay on the calendar / Shift after late logs), Injection site rotation (injectable routines, up to 10 sites), Upcoming changes (readable on every tier; adding or changing one needs Pro), and Inventory (shown with Pro when a profile exists or one is already attached).
12. Tap Save. If something is missing, Can’t save yet says what, for example "Give the routine a name."
13. To edit later: + › Manage routines, tap the routine, then Edit. Swipe a row for Pause or Delete.

What you’ll see

After Save, the routine’s doses appear on Today and the calendar. Editing changes only what’s ahead: doses you’ve logged, skipped, snoozed or moved, and doses that already went late or missed, are never rewritten; pending doses that no longer fit the plan are replaced.

With Shift after late logs, upcoming doses keep your spacing after a late log; with Stay on the calendar, they keep their planned days. Injection sites rotate in the order listed.

Notes and troubleshooting

• Deleting asks Delete routine, keep history or Erase history.
• Plan a change (Pro) schedules a future dose or schedule change; "Anything you don’t change carries over."
• A dose written as an amount and a unit (like "250 mcg") is what lets Pro inventory subtract from a vial.
• "This routine’s plan changed on another device." means close the form and reopen it before saving.
