Read the reconstitution calculator

Enter the facts about a vial and read back what those numbers mean: concentration, the draw per dose, and doses per vial — from your own values, saved nowhere.

Written for Keel 1.0.0Guides v1Screens from build 1 (4cbadaa)

Before you begin

Tools › Peptide Reconstitution. Two modes: From water added (you know the water that went in) and Plan the water (you know the draw you want a dose to land on).

The steps form an accordion: at most one is open. Tap a step’s chevron to open it, tap it again to close; entering a value does not close it, and switching mode opens the first incomplete step.

Keel tracks. It never advises. The calculator reads back the numbers you enter. This guide explains what each field and answer means; it does not suggest a dose, a concentration, or an amount of water.

Steps

  1. Choose the mode: From water added or Plan the water.
  2. Set Measured in to mg or IU to match the vial label. This relabels only Amount in vial (mg or IU) and Your dose (mcg or IU); Reconstituted with is always mL and Draw it lands on always syringe units. Switching later relabels, it does not convert typed numbers.
  3. Open Amount in vial and enter the amount printed on the vial. Presets (2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50 mg or 10, 12, 24, 36, 45, 100 IU) are shortcuts for a value you already know; Your dose never has presets.
  4. From-water mode: open Reconstituted with and enter the water added, in mL (presets 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 5).
  5. Enter Your dose — the amount you record per dose, in mcg or IU.
  6. Plan-the-water mode: instead of water, enter Draw it lands on in syringe units (presets 5, 10, 20, 25, 40, 50) on the U-100 scale, 100 units per mL. Your syringe changes how a draw is displayed, not this input.
  7. Read the results. From-water: DRAW PER DOSE with U-100 UNITS, CONCENTRATION, DOSES PER VIAL. Plan-the-water: WATER TO ADD, DOSES PER VIAL, EACH DOSE DRAWS. Eyebrows render in caps.

What it looks like

Reconstitution screen with From water added selected, Measured in mg, the Amount in vial step open with presets, and two collapsed steps beneath reading Not entered yet.
The calculator’s accordion: pick a mode and unit, then open each step; closed steps read back as one line.
  1. mode
  2. Measured in
  3. presets
  4. collapsed steps (Reconstituted with, Your dose)
Result block labelled DRAW PER DOSE with dashes under U-100 units, Concentration and Doses per vial, and the note Calculated from your values.
With nothing entered, every result is a dash; results fill in as each needed value becomes valid.
  1. empty results
  2. the three outputs
Completed calculator in From water added mode showing three read-back lines and the computed draw, concentration and doses per vial.
Fictional example: three entered values and the answers Keel computes from them — nothing here is a suggested vial, dose, or amount of water.
  1. each read-back sentence
  2. DRAW PER DOSE
  3. DOSES PER VIAL

Fictional example. The values are the app’s own sample inputs, shown to explain how the fields relate; they are not a preparation or a recommendation.

What you’ll see

A closed step reads back as one line: its value (“Amount in vial · 5 mg”), Not entered yet while empty, or Needs a number / Needs a number above zero when what you typed is not a valid positive number. A result shows a dash while any value it needs is empty or invalid.

In Plan-the-water mode results resolve independently: DOSES PER VIAL from vial amount and dose, EACH DOSE DRAWS from the target alone, WATER TO ADD once all three are valid. In forward mode the U-100 reading gives a haptic tick when a valid draw crosses a whole unit.

Every screen is a real capture of Keel 1.0.0 (build 1, implementation 4cbadaa), cropped and otherwise unchanged, except the paywall illustration, whose price columns are masked in the image itself. The numbered markers are added on this page, not to the app. Crop and mask coordinates for every figure: where the screens come from.
