Track inventory and vials
Record what you have on hand so each logged dose draws it down, read the projected runout, and restock or correct the balance with a history that is never rewritten.
Before you begin
Inventory is Pro. Keel’s rule: "Compatible logged doses draw down attached supply." — a dose subtracts only when its unit converts to the profile’s unit. The list footer reads "Profiles track what you already have — nothing here is a suggestion of what to use."
Fields vary by Type.
Keel tracks. It never advises. Balances and forecasts are arithmetic over what you entered and logged; a Low mark or a runout date is a fact about your record, not a prompt to buy or take anything.
Steps
- Open Tools › Tracking › Vials & Inventory (or + › Vials & inventory), then tap New profile (or Add your first profile).
- Under Details, choose the Type: Pre-filled vial, Peptide vial, Tablets / capsules, Content per container, or Custom.
- Enter the Profile name.
- Enter the Item as the label reads.
- Pick a Category.
- Under Contents, enter what the label says for your type — "All optional — enter whatever the label says."
- Pre-filled vial: Concentration and Volume.
- Peptide vial: Peptide strength and Reconstituted with; Remaining is then calculated, not typed.
- Content per container: Content per container.
- Tablets / capsules: Units per container under Supply.
- Custom: type Remaining yourself under Supply.
- Under Supply, set Containers (every type except Custom).
- Optional: turn on Warn when running low and set Warn at.
- Tap Save; Can’t save yet names anything missing, for example "Give the profile a name."
- Attach it to a routine: in the routine form’s Inventory section pick it under Vial / inventory; the footer says whether that routine’s dose can subtract from it.
- Read the profile: Current balance, the forecast line ("Runs out around ‹date›", "Runs low around ‹date›", "No runout in the next year" or "Not enough data to forecast"), and Supply history.
- To add supply, tap Restock.
- Enter Amount added and choose its unit.
- Keep or set Effective date (it can’t be in the future).
- Tap Record.
- To set an exact count instead, tap Correct Balance.
- Enter New balance.
- Tap Record. Once tracked, Remaining is read-only in the form; these two sheets move it.
- Undo from the history: Reverse records the exact opposite of a manual movement such as a restock (never a dose’s own draw-down); Retract removes a counted balance. Original rows stay.
What it looks like

- Low mark
- remaining
- forecast line

- Not enough data to forecast

- Current balance
- Amount added
- Effective date
- Record

- balance
- +10 mL row
- Reverse
- Starting balance

- failure line
- draft kept
What you’ll see
Today shows Inventory low ("Running low on ‹names›.") and Supply runs out soon ("‹name› runs out around ‹date› at your current schedule."). The Low mark appears when the balance is at or below your Warn at amount with the warning on.
Tools and Insights summarise all profiles in one line, saying "forecast needs more data" when any tracked profile can’t forecast. Forecasts simulate only future scheduled doses for a year and never reinterpret past logs. Deleting a profile keeps routines and logs.
Notes and troubleshooting
- A dose didn’t subtract? The routine footer explains: the dose needs an amount and a unit, the profile needs a concentration, or "IU doses can’t draw from a mg-tracked supply".
- "Counts disagree." — two counts were recorded (for example on two devices); tap Keep this count on the right one.
- "That adjustment didn’t save…" — the draft is kept; tap Record again.
- There is no vial-opened or expiry date in Keel; a profile tracks amounts, not time.
